Love Nu Art Magazine will be having their one anniversary party today at Zodiac Restaurant & Lounge 6135 Mt. Moriah Extd. Memphis, TN. The red carpet photos will be taken from 5-6pm and the event will begin promptly at 6. Make sure you're on time if you dont want to miss a chance at having a lovely photo taken by Patrick Covington on the red carpet. Also there will be performances by Hybird, Master of the Skies, Nick Black, Yeall P, Bridging Souls Productions, Writeous Soul, Dr. Rico, Melodic, Artistic Approach, and Jason Lurry!!!! AMY WINEHOUSE : 9/14/83- 7/23/11

Amy Winehouse

Bold, gothic, free spirit, distinctive, and most importantly an artist...These are all things that come to mind when I think of Amy Winehouse. She was a very talented upcoming pop artist that had gone thru her share of issues with drug and alcohol abuse. Amy wasn’t the typical artist that thrived on fashion and fame but she was in fact very distinctive. So much that her style has been a muse for fashion designers such as Karl Lagerfield. Now everyone has a trademark...MJ with the glove, Chris Brown with the blonde hair, and even Snooky with the poof hair. But Amy is not like most others, she chose ballerina slippers/house shoes as her trademark …lol. And I’m not mad at her one bit. Unfortunately Amy was called home to rest on July 23 2011; police have described her death as “unexplained”. Amy will truly be missed by her friends, fans and family.

WHERE'S MY SIZE?!?!

Most shoe stores or websites you go to don’t typically carry any shoes over size 10….Not even my own online shoe boutique…… If you are lucky enough to locate a store that does have size 11 or 12 you’ll find that the shoes are either hideous or sold out… Well I’m here to try and help solve that problem. I have checked out a few websites that just might be the answer to your prayers.(sort of speak) lol

Endless.com is a great place to shop for larger size women shoes. They have great prices and wonderful sales continually. Not to mention a huge selection of name brand shoes.

Zappos.com is one of my personal favorites. They have women shoe sizes up to size 20 (believe it or not). The best thing of all about Zappos is that they have FREE shipping.

Dreamshoes.com is another great place to shop for larger size women shoes. What impressed me most about Dreamshoes and that they have a funky yet hip flare to their shoes and the sizes range from 10-15.

There are a few more websites out there that cater to larger size women shoes but the previous 3 are just a few of my personal picks. If you come across anymore feel free to comment and let us know…especially if they have a sale….Smoochies

ARE YOUR SHOES MISSING THAT "WOW" FACTOR?

  Ok ladies I know we all have that one pair of shoes in the back of the closet that hasn't been worn in months or even years because its just plain boring to us now.Well I have a few ideas on how you can give your shoes that "wow" factor.
  Try adding a shoe clip...But not just any shoe clip. Make sure its one that will definitely stand out. If your wearing pumps try putting the clip in the front or even the back of the shoe(at the heel). This creates a very sheek and stylish look.
  Also if the shoe has an ankle strap.... take that old strap off and add a hot stretch or chain bracelet. I think even some elegant ribbon would take this look over the top.
   These are just a few ideas that I came up with that won't BREAK THE BANK but will still make you and your look a hot topic.

What shoes should I wear with my skinny jeans?

 For my tall divas with long legs and narrow hips, ballet flats are great for pairing with skinny jeans. But be careful..If your self conscious about the size of your foot make sure they arent pointed. Pointed toe shoes will give the illusion of a longer foot.

  For my shorter more petite and curvy divas, wearing high heels or stilettos with skinny jeans helps to elongate the legs. But keep in mind wearing skinny jeans with stilettos also creates a very narrow "base," which means the middle of your body is going to look bigger. Try pairing your skinny jeans and stilettos with a simple mini dress, long casual top, loosely-belted shirt, or longer jackets.
